Accountability and Transparency
We understand that accountability and transparency build trust. To promote agency and officer integrity, we routinely assess our police-citizen interactions, identify valuable officer in-service training opportunities and encourage our officers to set personal goals directly related to fair and equitable policing initiatives.
The list below includes a variety of specific processes we've instilled to promote accountability and transparency:
- Collecting and analyzing field and traffic stop data and subsequently publishing traffic and field stop data online. See the Traffic and Field Stops page for more information.
- Promoting clear guidance to our community members on how to make citizen comments, complaints and inquiries.
- Investing in training opportunities that promote cognizant understanding of implicit bias, fair and impartial policing and crisis intervention when interacting with individuals in a mental health crisis.
- Annual department and individual goal setting tied directly to community outreach and fair and impartial policing tactics.
These functions help us foster an 花季视频 in which security and individual rights are equally valued. We work diligently to develop and maintain positive relations with the diverse community we have the pleasure of serving.
